Triunfo do Brazil is a century-old family business that has produced organic mate in southern Brazil for four generations. Our unique location in South America is the only place worldwide where mate can grow naturally.
Maintaining a rich and biodiverse environment remains of central importance to Triunfo. Our mate grows in the wild among the local plants and animals, in an area of 2,000.00 hectares 100% organic certified.
To protect the natural habitat, we abstain from using any chemical products such as synthetic fertilizers, insecticides or herbicides. In addition to Triunfo’s organic certification, we are also proud to be part of the Fair Trade USA and Fair for Life certifications.
Triunfo’s mate is also certified kosher. Triunfo is committed to sustainability in all we do. Our processing plant uses electricity generated by organic eucalyptus, produced through reforestation. Food safety is also very important to us. We control the entire production process and can therefore identify the origin of each sack in every lot.
Triunfo’s organic mate is highly nutritious, loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. In fact, mate has twice the amount of antioxidants as green tea. Mate is also a natural source of energy and provides a refreshing alternative to coffee and other popular energy drinks. Triunfo believes that organic food is the foundation of a healthy body and a healthy planet. Practical, delicious and nutritious, Triunfo Mate is not only a functional food that provides countless benefits to consumers; it also contributes to the conservation and preservation of our planet.
From our beginnings through the 1990s, most of Triunfo’s mate production was sold in South America. In the 1980s,Vilma rGadens, son of founder Waldemar, assumed the leadership of Triunfo Brazil. Vilmar had two goals. First, he wanted to share the benefits of mate with consumers all over the world. Second, he wanted to improve the quality of mate while continuing to preserve the land and maintain a 100% certified organic mate crop.Vilmar has always believed in the benefits of consuming organic products and knew consumers would soon value it too.
Today, Lincoln Gadens, Vilmar’s son, runs Triunfo and has grown it into the largest organic mate plantation in Brazil. Triunfo now exports100% of its mate to five continents.
Triunfo do Brasil was established in 1925 by Antonio Gadens with the commercialization of the native Yerba Mate in the regional market.
Waldemar Gadens, Antônio's son, continued the activity by selling most of their production to Leão Junior, a benchmark company in the segment and in the history of Paraná State.
Vilmar Gadens assumes the management of the company in the 1980s. As a visionary, he believed in the value of organic products and sought Triunfo’s certification with the intention of expanding into new markets.
The company began to export the products to the global market.
Triunfo do Brasil has held the Fair for Life certification by IMO. This certification is granted only to companies that value social responsibility and provide quality of work life in their workplace.
Triunfo do Brasil LTDA has held the Kosher certification, confirming that our manufactured products follow all specific rules of the Orthodox Jewish diet.
Today, under the direction of Lincoln Gadens, son of Vilmar Gadens, Triunfo do Brasil LTDA has the largest organic plantation of Yerba Mate in Brazil, and exports the entire mate production to the five continents of Earth.
