Improvement and standardization programs

The Quality department is involved throughout the entire production chain, through records, indicators, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspections, and/or laboratory analyses.

Organic certifications 

Triunfo do Brasil holds the following organic certifications:

• USDA Organic - valid for the United States;
• Canada Organic - valid in Canada;
• JAS Ecocert - valid in Japan; 
• BR Bio 154 - valid for European countries.

Organic products are foods grown and processed according to specific standards that promote sustainable agricultural practices. This means that organic foods are cultivated without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

Organic foods offer numerous benefits. For humans, a diet with fewer chemicals can contribute to better health. At the same time, the reduced use of chemical residues also has less impact on the environment.

Rainforest Alliance 

Among the global certifications held by Triunfo do Brasil is the Rainforest Alliance. This seal symbolizes how yerba mate production is carried out in harmony with the environment.

The Rainforest Alliance certification is awarded to companies that implement sustainable agricultural practices, including reducing the use of artificial fertilizers and pesticides, preventing pollution, and properly disposing of waste. It also contributes to the preservation of forested areas and promotes biodiversity conservation — all of these practices are common at Triunfo do Brasil.

FSSC 22000

FSSC 22000 is one of the most important global certifications in food safety. It guarantees that Triunfo do Brasil's yerba mate extract is free from chemical, physical, and biological contaminants, ensuring a safe raw material and protecting the health of our end consumers.

This certification also demonstrates the company’s strict quality control, effective management of allergens, food defense and fraud prevention, and investment in environmental monitoring programs. Fair for life 

The Fair for Life seal is another certification held by Triunfo do Brasil, ensuring that the company prioritizes sustainable actions in its production system.

The certification also promotes fair trade, meaning it guarantees that certified companies sell their products at a fair price. Additionally, it demonstrates concern for the local community, aiming for sustainable economic development that benefits every link in the production chain.

Kosher 

Triunfo do Brasil also has Kosher certification, which certifies that all products respect Jewish traditions. This means that both product ingredients, facilities and production do not contain any traces of non-kosher substances, following Jewish dietary laws, known as kashrut.

Geographical indication 

The Triunfo factory and the largest Triunfo herbal area are located in São João do Triunfo city.

The region, encompassing other municipalities, has a Geographical Indication for the production of shaded native yerba mate, proving the quality and tradition of the culture. 

The recognition granted by the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) was given in 2017, and is in the Indication of Origin category, which takes “terroir” into account, certifying the environment as a center for the extraction, production or manufacturing of yerba mate.
